hey guys. please log in to your tp account (the one where u do the apel test, not ole-bb i think) to check your term test timetable. there will be seatings allocated too so u MUST check if not u wont know where u'll be seating on the day of our TT.
second thing to note is the FACOM test on friday. it'll be on chap 1 and 2 (in case some PIG(s) dont remember)
As instructed from blackbox, all AMS students are to add ams_fb@live.com.sg (ams UNDERSCORE, not space than fb) and to join the group set up by this account called AMS. Messages, especially for events invitations will be sent out there.
Currently they are using this method to spread their news but it is still in the prototype period...

Hi guys! :D I need your help regarding something. We're currently in the midst of creating an annual AMS 'Yearbook'. This will be used as souvenirs for industry partners etc. Partly, it will feature events organised by AMS throughout the past year. For the first issue, these are the activities included: Community Works (With Cerebral Palsy kids at SYFC, @ Pasir Ris Soccer etc) Competitions (Singapore Space Challenge, AirBus Fly Your Ideas, Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition) Leadership (Sub-comm camp etc) Flying programme (Singapore Youth Flying Club, Flight Experience, NusaJaya Flying Programme) Sports (Campus Relay) Student Journal We're gonna need photos - like, tons of photos. So, I need a favour from you people alright. What I need you guys to do is to dig out all the photos you have gathered so far in AMS. Filter out those you think are suitable. Also, if you'd like you could provide captions/quotes or whatever great lines you have related to the topic and picture. This is how it's gonna be: You choose suitable photos, filter out and put them into one folder with your name on it. Contact your beloved class rep and inform him/her how big the total size is. (If it's not too many, class reps could collect these photos first) Class reps would collate all the info for me by Sunday, 24 May 2009. AMS is planning a couple of events during your term break, 8-19June. Of cos, the events is not going to be compulsory so you can still plan for your own holidays during the break.
We will be visiting Flight Experience @ Singapore Flyer for a cool 737 Simulator ride! As we prob can only accommodate 10-15 students per day, we will take the whole term break to complete the whole cohort... details will be out soon.
On 9th June, there will be a Singapore Youth Flying Club visit!

anyway, i think there’s some confusion with the few previous posts about the wrtoral homework. actually i was very irritated because i dint know that there’s so many homeworks when i read the post. actually there’s some mistake in the post. let me re-list out the homework for wrtoral.

Hey doods & doodess! 3 Important notices!! 1)To All ENG Students,
By now you are probably aware that the World Health Organization (WHO) has raised the Swine Flu pandemic alert level to 5 (out of 6 levels) and that correspondingly the Singapore Ministry of Health (MOH) has raised the alert level to Orange (level 3 out of 5 levels).
While at this time there are no confirmed cases of swine flu in Singapore, “Orange” brings us to a level where certain precautionary actions are to be taken by our polytechnic which will include temperature taking. This will be effective from Monday 4 May 2009 onwards.
As such, all students are required to bring their thermometers to TP every day starting from this Monday 4 May. Temperature taking will be conducted at the first lesson of each student’s class and when required. Students who are found to be having fever will be requested to leave the campus to seek medical treatment. We strongly advise students who are not feeling well not to come to TP but to go to see a doctor to be examined and get the necessary treatment and MC. You are to keep your Care Person posted of your condition when you are not well. Students who have recently travelled to affected countries are also to keep your Care Person informed of it.
TP will be sharing to all students very soon how to prepare against the Swine Flu pandemic. The best advice for now is to maintain a high level of personal hygiene, and TP will be activating cleaning and disinfecting works as part of this effort. Apart from that, all students are strongly encouraged to be socially responsible in their behaviour.

We are organizing our first Europe study trip to Germany and France for the coming term break in June, and would like to extend invitation to all TP Engineering students. The first three days will be hosted by FESTO, a world renowned automation solution company. We will visit some world-class manufacturing factories and technical centers, including Mercedes Benz Museum, Ritter Sport Museum (Chocolate factory) and Hochschule Esslingen University at Stuttgart. We then will continue our journey to Paris, capital of France, spending the next few days in Disneyland Europe and Paris.
Germany is well known for its excellence in Engineering. In this trip, you will witness how German engineers and students put their passions and dreams into reality. We will take a good stroll into the medieval town of Stuttgart, which was built as far back as the 1st century AD.
Paris, the City of Lights, it is probably the most romantic place on earth. Some landmarks like Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Champs Elysees are not to be missed. Most importantly, Paris is the birthplace for big brand like Chanel and Louis Vuitton, and not forgetting Mona Lisa too!
The trip is planned (tentative, depending on available flights) from 8 Jun, 09 (leaving Singapore) to 16 Jun, 09 (arriving Singapore). The trip cost is estimated to be around S$2,988 (Air-fare, airport tax, all accommodation in hotels, city tour in Paris, some food and transportation.).
The following pertinent points are to be noted: 1) Need registration with me, Mr. Foo Ming Fenn (mingnfenn@tp.edu.sg) or Mdm. Christina Ng (leesiam@tp.edu.sg). 2) An initial deposit of S$1000.00 is to be paid upon confirmation of registration. Cancellation charges apply. 3) Any special request on food, like vegetarian or halal, needed to be pre-arranged. 4) The trip is scheduled during June two-week term break. It is summer in Europe, good and warm weather! 5) Visa might be needed for International Students. 6) Please check if you have PSEA (formerly Edusave) money that you can use. Happy Labour day! For those who doesn't know, Labour Day or May Day is an annual holiday celebrated all over the world that resulted from the labour union movement, to celebrate the economic and social achievements of workers.
So let's thank the workers around the world for having done well a job, especially now in times of recession and swine/babi flu ~.~
